Hello. My name is Shaun Boehringer and I love the Web. I hand-coded this site to show off the skills I've learned while earning my BS in Web Design and also to feature my resume.

Over the past few years my passion for the Web has blossomed into full on obsession delving into the various aspects of multimedia design. It is an exciting time to be a developer because of the new technologies that are arriving Not to mention browsers are finally starting to play nice with the same bits of code. We're far from the noble goal of a universally standards-compliant Web, but the environment seems to be ideal for Web development newcomers to learn to do the right things the right way.

I started Fresh Air Web Studios to represent my undergraduate portfolio and as a pre-hub for my professional identity. I am currently freelancing, but am open to the right employment opportunity so if a potential employer would like to get to know me better, this is the perfect place. I'm highly interested in contributing to creative teams of professionals in launching large-scale projects.

The reason I design for the Web is because aside from having an artistic background in physical mediums, I have a natural curiosity toward modern technology and stylish Web trends. Simply put, designing is fun and computers are awesome!

Speaking on style, I love all sorts of modern Web techniques and I spend quite a lot of time reading tech blogs and browsing tutorials to stay up to speed on what will help my sites look cleaner, move faster and work better. This is another reason I study Web development, having a lifetime of learning ahead of me is exciting to me and losing sleep to my dreams has never deterred me in the least.

I have been experimenting extensively with Joomla! and Wordpress, customizing interactions with the database through MySQL programming. I am able to build custom templates for both CMS platforms, but prefer hand-coding sites such as this one. I love the technology that open-source CMS brings to the community, but when given the choice I prefer to work with something organic that I have created from scratch. I highly enjoy customizing my projects that adhere to my own personal coding standard.

My professional attitute derives directly from my personal journey. In search of inspiration in all things, the Web is my outlet and my livelyhood and my cients link me to that. I take every live project as seriously as the next and never settle. Bringing forth a beautiful Web experience is much different than building a Web site and Fresh Air Studios knows how to make that happen.
